Look At Me Now : Tiffany Monique is Ready for her ‘ Magic Moment’ (YeahImFamous.com)
Powerhouse singer/songwriter Tiffany Monique is back and better then ever with the release of her long awaited single ‘Magic Moment’, which has truly been a long time coming. The Newark,NJ native is mostly known for gracing the stage with some of musics biggest artist as a supporting vocalist, but this gifted vocalist is ready to step out into the spotlight rightfully where she belongs. The Nashville Born shining star knew from an early age that she was meant to be a singer, born into a family full of dynamic singers and musicians. So of course it made sense by the tender age of 3, that she was singing her first solo in church. But once she moved to NJ, it was there that her love for music truly grew as she was blown away by her idol Whitney Houston, along with the greats including Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Denise Williams and Chaka Khan. Now while singing in church gave her an outlet to showcase her gift, she always wanted more then just a solo on Sunday to perform so within no time Tiffany would being to join The Boys & Girls Club which would allow her to explore her musical talents and little more.
While in school it was clear that Tiffany had a gift but with no options to perform in a choir, the young songbird made it her mission to create spaces in her school for kids to perform which ultimately would lead to her taking her gift as a songwriter even more serious which would come in handy down the road. Now although she didn’t always see a future in music, it was in college at Morgan State University where doors would start to open for her as she would go on to join a sultry r&b group ‘On Point’, who were then signed to MCA Records and worked with alongside superstars KCi & JoJo and Dru Hill. Unfortunately after some time the deal fell through, but this showed her that it was actually possible to become an entertainer. Within time as years went by she would hit the open mic scene performing at the legendary Village Underground which would truly change the course of her career. Meeting the incomparable Melonie Daniels was just what this powerhouse singer needed to take things to the next level as she gave her the opportunity to perform with some of musics biggest stars as a background vocalist. She would go on to perform with Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Faith Evans, Carl Thomas, Michelle Williams and more locally in NYC which gave her just the push she needed to showcase her talents in front of the right audience.
So of course life continued to happen over the years, the wife & mother who still had a corporate job would receive a phone call that would ultimately change her in life in 2007. Music Director to the stars Kim Burse remembered Tiffany from a previous audition a few years back, who unfortunately couldn’t take the gig due to her pregnancy. But as Kim kept her word that she would be reaching out to her again, the Newark songstress had no clue that this call would be for a once in a lifetime opportunity to go on the road and perform with Beyoncé and her all star female band. This one moment truly changed everything for the rising star who would travel the world and perform on some of the biggest stages in concert, tv and even for President Obama in support of the biggest entertainer of this century. But with all this experience she still was missing something and that was the chance to perform her own music as a solo artist, which was always a dream of hers since she was a little girl. So in 2010 she released her debut single ‘Nemesis’ which was just a taste of so much more to come but as time went on Tiffany decided to not release the project and once again put her all into supporting the many other artist she continuously worked on and off the stage. Now with a small feature in the Academy Award winning film ’20 Feet From Stardom’, things were looking up for the rising star until she was diagnosed with Cancer in 2014.
